Today, we begin another quarter in 2020. Three months have passed, yet it feels like a whole year has already gone by. While we hope to slow things down a bit, here we are in a race against time as COVID-19 continues to spread across borders. In the recent days, we’ve seen it move 10x faster than all our efforts combined. Somehow, this raises the question “how far can we go to end this war?” And sadly, this exposes the reality that we, as human beings, can only do so much. But all is not lost. On the flip side, this pandemic has shown how limitless the human spirit can be – how it endures, bounces back, goes above and beyond. We’ve seen kindness translate into ingenuity, hard work, sacrifice, compassion, solidarity and so much more. So today, I’m choosing to embrace this new chapter with a hopeful heart. I know we’ll keep looking after each other. And in the end, this spirit of unity and accountability will replicate a 100x faster than the virus.
We think of those who are fearful, anxious and overwhelmed. We pray for those who have lost the ones so dear to them. Our hearts go out to all our fallen heroes. And to our frontliners, who remain dedicated to win this battle, we cannot thank you enough. This too shall pass.
